Located in the heart of the Alpage des Chaux with a view of the surrounding mountains, this sublime, panoramic and quiet area will take your breath away from mid-May to the end of October. Barbecue area and tables are available on site. Public toilets at the gondola (open during operation).
Practical Information
IN SUMMER: - There are many opportunities for hiking and biking in the area. - The restaurant "Chez Gipsy" and the cheese dairy "Les Chaux" are also located here. - 100 metres from the Chaux area is the Chaux cable car, which operates from July to the end of October (weekly closures in low season). - The hamlet of Taveyanne and its nature reserve are 2 kilometres away and can be reached on foot, by bike or by car. In summer, the payment of this compulsory tax allows you to obtain a "Welcome" card. This offers you free or reduced rates for many recreational and sports facilities, for public transport in the Gryon, Villars and Les Diablerets region, as well as for certain seasonal activities. PARKING DETAILS - Authorised dates: from 3 June to 29 October 2023. - The price of parking is CHF 15, including 1 night with 2 "welcome" cards. - Payment via the application: parking pay or twint (sign on site with QR links) or at the Maison du Tourisme de Gryon. - Max 2 nights allowed for mobile vehicles. - Places cannot be reserved. - Wild camping is punishable by fine.
