This sporty route takes you through the vineyards to the charming mountain village of Corbeyrier.
At Aigle station, take the exit on track 3, then start the walk on the right following the pedestrian signs. Cross the roundabout and continue on the Route des Lieugex. At the restaurant Le Michelangelo, turn left and continue straight ahead following the train tracks. You will arrive in an agricultural area. Just before the hill, go under the bridge to join the path along La Grande-Eau. After 500m, take the footbridge to cross the river, then reach the cantonal road which you must cross. The ascent then begins through the vineyards where you reach the heart of the wine village of Yvorne. When you reach the Place du Torrent, turn left to discover the "Les Rennauds" district before continuing your ascent via the Château Maison-Blanche. Continue to climb upstream of the castle, then join a forest path which marks the only shaded section of this route. You then reach an open area and the village of Vers-Cort. Another 30 minutes of walking between the edge of the forest and the road, and you arrive in Corbeyrier. On arrival in Corbeyrier, you can either take the post bus to Aigle or go back down the alternative route.
