This didactic trail lets you discover many facets of the Arses forest, which is carefully preserved by the foresters and where some truly marvellous things have been in the making for centuries!

The newly-created didactic trail takes you through the heights of the village of Rougemont, into the heart of the Arses forest, famous for its resonant wood. There are 8 themed stops along the way! These stops are a fun way to discover the different elements around you. As you make your way between forests, small lakes and clearings, follow the woodchip path to find the next themed stop. At each stop, a panel, sometimes accompanied by an activity, explains how the forest works, the importance of this precious wood and even the links with the moon! A walk in the heart of nature, ideal for reconnecting with the natural elements.

Practical Information

- Accessible in spring, summer and autumn - Wood chip path - not recommended for pushchairs - It is forbidden to light fires in the forest ACCESS - by train: via the MOB line from Montreux, Château-d'Œx or Gstaad. Stop at ‘Gare de Rougemont’, and allow 50-60 minutes' walk to the didactic trail. - by car: you can leave your car free of charge in the station car park. It's a 50-60 minute walk to the path.
