Description

From the top of the gondola, a very varied panoramic walk. This hike passes by the lake of AĂŻ and its charming hamlet and by the lake of Mayen, full of legends. A gentle descent through the Temeley mountain pasture.

When you arrive at the top of the Berneuse, take the opportunity to discover the magnificent view that awaits you as well as the panoramic revolving restaurant "Kuklos". Start the slightly steep descent to Lake Ai, with an impressive view of the AĂŻ Tower. The path continues towards Lake Mayen and passes by the charming little village of AĂŻ. Allow about 30 minutes from the top of the Berneuse to Mayen. A break at the Mayen refuge is welcome: the place between the towers of AĂŻ and Mayen is beautiful and with a little luck and imagination, you may see one of the fairies of Leysin, all while tasting one of the specialties of the refuge. Then take the scenic route which slopes gently down to the Temeley pasture (cheese making). Continue on to the chamois quarry and then join the start of the cable cars. A more direct variant is possible: 10 minutes after the Temeley, turn left at the intersection under the avalanche barrier, and join a winding path going down to the resort.
