Description

This hiking route links Les Diablerets to the Pierredar refuge at 2300 m. altitude. The climb is demanding with more than 1000 metres of positive difference in altitude but the enchanting landscape of the cirque of hollows and the arrival at Pierredar are worth the diversions. The return is by the same path or the Drudy trail.

From Les Diablerets, follow the river "La Grande Eau" which flows through the centre of the village towards Droutzay and then Creux de Champs. At the height of a huge boulder, continue by forking slightly to the left. At first slightly flat, the path quickly becomes quite steep all the way up between forests, pastures and scree to the Refuge de Pierredar. Avoid this route in case of heavy storms. The Pierredar refuge is guarded from mid-June to mid-September. By reservation, you can sleep and eat there. To come back to Les Diablerets from the refuge, 2 options : - n° 1 : by the same route as the ascent - n° 2 : by the Drudy path (be careful, blue-white-blue path, vertiginous)

Practical Information

ACCESS : - free and unlimited parking area of the congress centre in Les Diablerets.
