Description

Created by the Rougemont-Videmanette Run, this 7km climb with a 1'200m difference in altitude goes along the longest winter slope in the Gstaad ski area! From the start of the cable car, you run through the forests and pastures of the Videmanette.

The start of this trail begins at the parking of the cable car of La Videmanette in Rougemont. For the first part of the route, follow the footpath through the famous Arses forest. This forest is very well known by musicians for its quality tonewood! As soon as you pass "Les Planards", you are now on the longest ski run in Gstaad. Continue your ascent to the pastures of the Videmanette. Some cows are ready to ring their bells to encourage you! When you reach the Ruble mountain pasture, you are next to the imposing RĂĽbli, the emblematic mountain of Rougemont. It reveals a totally different face than the one visible from the village. If you listen carefully, some marmots may have signalled your arrival... They love to bask in the sun in the scree near the Gouilles. The last zig-zag climb on the gravel path is ahead of you! Take heart, your arrival point is not far away. Once at the top, follow the side of the Col de la Videman to finish your route. You have reached your goal! You have earned a cool drink on the terrace of the restaurant at the cable car's arrival point. And enjoy the incredible view of the Bernese Alps and the Gummfluh! The descent can then be made via the cable car or one of the various hiking routes.
