Abbaye de Salaz

Although it has kept its holy name, the building has become a private property to which land and a vineyard of four hectares are attached. The activities of the estate include agriculture, cattle breeding, wine making with vinification on the estate and organisation of banquets.

The Huber and Kropf families, owners and operators of the estate, are dedicated to preserving this thousand-year-old estate. Built on terraces, the vineyard overlooks the abbey. The limestone and stony soils lend themselves to both white and red grape varieties via a generous range of wines: Chasselas, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris in white, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah and Mondeuse in red.

An enchanting setting with park and garden as well as two banqueting rooms regularly host weddings and other festivities of all kinds. The Huber and Kropf families prepare local products to accompany the great wines of the estate.
