An exceptional alpine lake. An ideal plateau for cross-country skiing. The Pic Chaussy on the horizon. With kilometres of winter and summer hiking trails, the Col des Mosses can be explored in all seasons and promises unforgettable moments for the whole family.
In summer, the snow having given way to a green nature, hiking, cycling and fishing are the main activities. Les Mosses and La Lécherette offer a large number of itineraries, leading to magical places such as Lake Lioson, the pearl of the Alpine lakes, where you can quench your thirst at the restaurant of the same name before climbing to the summit of Pic Chaussy. You can also climb lesser-known summits such as the Mont d'Or above Le Sépey or the Gros Van and the Dorchaux ridge which face the village of Les Mosses. It is also possible to discover outdoor yoga, biathlon, plant walks and various other activities at Les Mosses and La Lécherette. A regular venue for major cycling tours such as the Tour de France, the ascent of the Col des Mosses is a mythical challenge.
From June to September, the market-brocante animates Sundays and nearly 100 brocanteurs coming from the four corners of Switzerland hold their stand.
La Lécherette is the link between the Pays-d'Enhaut and Les Mosses. From this picturesque village, you can access the Hongrin valley, home to the lake of the same name and its famous dam. During the summer months, this valley is a delight for cyclists, hikers and fishermen who can be seen along the banks of the lake.
In winter, the slopes of the area offer numerous possibilities for downhill skiing on a well-cleared and sunny plateau. The Nordic ski circuit is extensive and varies in gradient as well as in orientation and altitude. Its regular and carefully monitored maintenance guarantees optimal skiing conditions. The Espace Nordique des Alpes vaudoises offers a warm place to change clothes or have a picnic. The winter hikes are accessible to families, the levels of difficulty allow small children to walk long distances.
