Description
Located in a municipality known far and wide for its salt mines, the vineyards of Bex cover 110 hectares.
Of all the Chablais appellations, Bex benefits the most from the soothing foehn winds. And it is this aspect that is perfect for reds : Pinot noir, Gamay, Gamaret, Merlot and Garanoir which currently make up more than 60% of the grape varieties in Bex.
Special features of the Bex vineyards are its chalk soil and its climate. In the latter stages of maturation the concentration levels of sugar and flavours are impressively high thanks to the warm foehn winds.
