From 10am on 18 January, Pays-d'Enhaut Région and the Commune of Rougemont invite guests and residents to celebrate Saint-Antoine, with a host of activities on the programme.
Saint-Antoine is a traditional event celebrating the farming traditions of the village of Rougemont, and also celebrates the return of the sun to the village, which lies in the shadow of the Rübli during the months of November and December. On this special day, the sun once again shines on the village, and more specifically on the porch of the town hall.
The day is all about local flavours, with a small craft market offering pastries, cheeses, local meats and cream caramels. In the afternoon, a guided tour of the village's century-old chalets, castle and church will give visitors a chance to admire the village's rich architectural heritage. Children will not be left out, with creative workshops organised throughout the afternoon. There will also be musical entertainment.
