Between 800 and 1000 hives are spread across the Canton of Vaud. On average, each beehive is home to 40,000 bees who work tirelessly to provide us with delicious and 100% local honey. The diversity of the landscape and nature in the Canton of Vaud can be found in the different pots of honey.
The name "mountain honey" is regulated and attributed solely to high-altitude production areas. Produced from mid-June to mid-August, forest honey is recognisable due to its darker colour and its more intense and woody taste. Among the honey from flowers, you can distinguish the honey of spring and the honey of summer: the first is very clear, almost white, while the second has a more golden colour.
