Overview
The family has managed to keep this magical place intact to the point of leaving even its ashtray still full. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the intimacy of the painter guided by an interactive terminal and to discover the place where he painted his last works.
Located in the heart of the village of Rossinière, the Balthus Chapel is a space dedicated to the memory of the artist. It presents a new installation with an exclusive film by Wim Wenders on Balthus' studio. The Balthus library is also there, so that everyone can deepen their experience of the artist's world through books on his work, but also through the literary works that strongly influenced Balthus.
The studio has been completely renovated with a short film by Wim Wenders based on a text he wrote about the painter.
The studio is only open in summer! Don't miss this opportunity to discover it.
