The hike begins in the village of l'Etivaz, capital of the alpine cheese L'Etivaz AOP.
Start the hike with a gentle warm-up in the Eau Froide valley to the place called "Les Maulatreys".
From "Les Maulatreys", start the climb with a fairly steep slope that leads you successively to the Fodéra and Lévanchy chalets. Then go around the Tête du Lévanchy from the east to reach the Lavaux mountain pasture and head into the combe de Châtillon.
Just before the Col du Tarent, turn right and cross a fairly exposed slope above the rock bars (Be careful, especially if the snow is hard). Finish on the large summit slope.
Finish the route with a moment of pure pleasure : the descent ! This is done by the same route as the ascent.

RECOMMENDATIONS
The proposed itinerary is not marked or safe. Before setting off, find out about the weather, snow conditions and avalanche risks. Never go alone and take a telephone and emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel). If you are inexperienced, ask a mountain guide to lead you.
