The Pays-d'Enhaut region has seen the birth of representations of mountain climbs and other reflections of life in the mountains made with paper and scissors. Louis Saugy (1871-1953), a postman in Rougemont, was one of the precursors and developed this popular art form, which is appreciated throughout the world.
It is in this same spirit and in the respect of the purest tradition that David Rossier and his wife Yvette make their own cuttings today. These creations can be discovered on this site or at the gallery "Le Foyer Antiquités et Art Populaire", alongside ancient and contemporary artists such as Jean-Jaques Hauswirth (1809-1871) and Louis Saugy (1871-1953).
