The church of Rossinière

The Romanesque church was first mentioned in 1316, and was enlarged in 1645 after a hurricane destroyed part of it during the service, miraculously without any deaths or injuries.

Only the chancel and the choir are of medieval origin. The interior is equally remarkable.
During the last restoration, a wall painting of the bear, the symbol of Bern, was discovered under the whitewash.

The reformation was introduced when the Enahut region became Bernese.
