The Lapiaz of Truex

Description

Between the Tour de Mayen and the Tour de Famelon is the place called Truex, where you can admire the famous Lapiaz.

Discover the famous geological formations called Lapiaz, on the Truex. Lapiaz are limestone rocks eroded by runoff during the melting of snow, forming crevasses with exceptional shapes. In the summer, the green of the shallow crevasses, thanks to the sediments deposited during the melting and rainfall, adds a magnificent contrast, to the delight of hikers and nature lovers.

Practical Information

Be careful during your hikes: Some Lapiaz can be very deep.
