Description

This superb hike to the Plan Névé hut (2264m.) is well worth the diversions if you want to get some height and immerse yourself in the heart of the Alpes Vaudoises. From the hut, the view is superb! The wardens who take turns throughout the summer welcome you in a good mood, with good food or to spend the night.

From Pont-de-Nant, follow the path towards the Richard mountain pasture (sale of goat's cheese). Then follow the signs to the Plan-Névé hut. The climb to the hut is steady, especially in the last few bends. From the hut, the view over the valley and Lake Geneva in the background is spectacular. A reward well worth the effort to reach this place. The hut is guarded from the end of June to the beginning of October, you can spend the night there (dormitories, 29 beds in total) or eat during your stay. Don't hesitate to ask the wardens about the history of the construction of this hut or the legend of Plan-Névé, fascinating stories to discover during this hike.
