Winter sports don't necessarily mean skiing! Tobogganing is one of those winter activities that provide a welcome return to childhood, in the heart of snow-covered landscapes. Today, we're heading to Les Diablerets to try out the destination's famous 7.2 kilometre toboggan run. Laughter and unforgettable memories guaranteed!
The weather was mixed on this February day, but that didn't deter us from discovering the famous Diablerets toboggan run. On arriving in the village, we parked near the cabin and headed for one of the toboggan hire companies at the start of the run.
With sled and helmet in hand, we picked up our daily pedestrian pass at the lift terminal, so that we could make the most of our time on the slopes with our sledges. We headed for the summit on the Diablerets Express, which takes us to the top of Le Meilleret in just six minutes.

The sun is timidly peeking through as the cabin arrives. This is the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries on the terrace of the Mazots restaurant, which offers a spectacular view of the Diablerets Massif.

The start of the toboggan run is next to the restaurant, so it's easy to get there after stopping to enjoy the view. Just enough time to put on our helmets, and we're off down the more than 7 kilometres of completely safe piste (and separate from the ski slopes, which is much appreciated) in an absolutely magnificent setting. The track is wide, so you can pick up speed without taking any risks. Stop-off points are set up all along the piste: ideal for photo breaks or waiting for latecomers.

Above the village, the trail narrows and runs alongside the Col de la Croix road, which is closed in winter. It eventually reaches the start of the Diablerets Express, which makes it easy to climb back up for a series of downhill runs throughout the day. At the end of the day, invigorated by the fresh air and the laughter, we headed back down to the plain, happy to have revived childhood memories on our magnificent wooden sledges.
