Château de la Roche
Rue du Château 5
1867 Ollon
The castle has been undergoing restoration since 1989. Numerous spaces for cultural and festive activities have been created. The castle is open to the public for shows, exhibitions, conferences and receptions. Group visits can be organised on request. The castle belongs to the Fondation du castle of La Roche, a private foundation of public interest created in 1985.
This venerable building, now saved from demolition, can trace its origins back to the Middle Ages. The first known mention of the castle is in 1386, but analyses have made it possible to date the oldest beamwork of the foundations to around 1200. The territory of Ollon was, at that time, under the different jurisdictions of the Abbey of Saint-Maurice, the House of Savoy and the Bishopric of Sion.
Group visits can be arranged on request.
The building is not yet equipped for regular visits.
