Ermitage Guest House

Located 10 minutes from the Château-d'Oex train station, the Ermitage guest house has been completely renovated by Sophie Labarraque, the current owner of the Ermitage. A former French-Swiss decorator, she worked for several years in the world of luxury and fashion. More recently, she has been travelling around French-speaking Switzerland in a bus transformed into a travelling art gallery. This is a way for her to showcase the work of carefully selected artists and craftsmen by exhibiting them at public or private events. Unique pieces, even old ones, found at flea markets. It was this love of art that prompted her to take over the Hermitage. Feeling cramped, she was looking for a place to open a gallery. She bought the hotel and the restaurant that went with it.

L'Ermitage has 16 rooms with balconies, the guest house has a tea room, a coffee corner, a wine bar, a large terrace and of course an exhibition space.

The entire infrastructure is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
