Description

Want to relive the 1997 Mountain Bike World Cup? We have what you need! This itinerary closely follows the course of the championships.

Prepare your Mountain bike and go to the departure of the tour which is located in front of the Tourist Office of Château-d'Oex. From there, start the timing as during the championship and go down towards the river "La Sarine". Can you hear the children's laughter and the sound of water? If this is the case, you should not be far from the open-air swimming pool of Le Berceau. The ideal place to enjoy a refreshing dip on hot summer days! But the clock is running, keep going... Once you have passed the place called "La Rosette", enjoy a little break with a beautiful view of the village of Château-d'Oex and the mountains! From left to right, the Pointe de Cray, the Pra de Cray, the Vanil carré and other summits will gladly be admired. Take a last gulp of water and get back on your racing mountain bike, le Ramaclé and its various surprises are waiting for you! When you arrive near the Sarine river, go for a diversion to the Cascade du Ramaclé. It will allow you to refresh yourself before the last part of your tour! One last place still remains to be discovered, the famous Turrian Bridge! It is the oldest suspension bridge in Romandy Switzerland and one of the last still existing. And with this itinerary, you will be able to cross it to return to your starting point! So, what is your time record for this race?
