Description
Take a TrekkMines tour of the old hand-dug galleries and immerse yourself in the authentic Mines!
This tour begins with a short walk through the Forêt du Fondement to the entrance to the Galerie du Coulat.
After wandering through the 18th-century mining galleries, you will descend the Grand Escalier and its 734 steps to return to the traditional tour route.

LENGTH OF VISIT
- 3h30 over a distance of approximately 3 km and a difference in level of 180 m in tunnels
MEETING POINT
- 10:15 am at the Mines reception building, departure at 10:30 am
TEMPERATURE
- 18°C all year round; warm clothing recommended.
AGE
- Recommended for children aged 8 and over
COMFORT
- Warm, comfortable clothes (18°C in the mine), walking shoes or good shoes with profile.
ACCESSIBILITY
- Suitable for anyone aged 8 and over, in good physical condition and able to walk for 3 hours without difficulty; not suitable for claustrophobics.
LANGUAGES
- The tour is only available in French.
FOOD
- It is possible to bring a small picnic and drinks in a small rucksack.
PETS
- Animals (except guide dogs) are not allowed in the mine.
