Picking and tasting wild plants

La Boîte Sauvage is committed to making its wilderness outings a celebration. They believe that good food and good taste go hand in hand, and that wild cuisine doesn't have to be frugal and rustic. They like to vary their preparations and add enough imagination to give everyone something to delight their taste buds!

Walking and picking alternate throughout these walks. Observing, touching and tasting what's growing, often in abundance - meadow cardamine, hogweed, primrose, nettle or wild garlic, plantain, violet - is the first step towards learning about living things with a passion and a greater awareness.

After the effort, the bellies are hollow and the legs are tired... We'll hurry to a small shady forest to prepare the day's menu. Wild cocktails and syrups, tabbouleh and hummus flavoured with local herbs, plantain fricassee, various spreads and homemade bread will be on the menu for this gastronomy full of new flavours!
