Recreational area at Frience

In the heart of the Alpe des Chaux, on the heights of Gryon, lies a little corner of paradise. Facing the majestic Miroir d'Argentine, the Frience recreational area offers a range of fun and sporting activities for all the family.

WINTER

• TWO SKI AND SNOWBOARD SLOPES FOR BEGINNERS
  Frience offers the ideal setting for first attempts on skis or snowboard.
• SLEDGING RUNS
  Two specially-designed toboggan runs of varying degrees of difficulty are available for young and old alike. Whether you're a beginner, advanced or expert, there's a toboggan run to suit you!
• A SKI LIFT UNIQUE IN SWITZERLAND
  A conveyor belt around 160m long takes you effortlessly up to the different slopes on skis, snowboard or toboggan. The wooden structure offers protection in all weathers. This facility is free for all.
• A CROSS-COUNTRY SKI TRAIL
  A cross-country skiing loop of around one kilometre is laid out in classic and skating styles. Take a tour of the lake and the Frience plateau!
  
  
  SUMMER
• A CLEAN LAKE

Lake Frience, at an altitude of over 1,500m, guarantees a little coolness in the hottest summer months. Comprising three pools of different depths, this aquatic area has a paddling pool (40 cm of water), a shallow area (90 cm of water) and a large pool (up to 2.5 m).

A water regeneration zone, recognisable by its aquatic plants (not accessible for swimming) completes the facilities.

The banks of the lake are laid out with tables and benches and several barbecues. So make the most of a fine day in an enchanting landscape!
