Swiss Organ Museum

Come and discover this astonishing organ collection in a 15th century barn-stop that was once a stage on Switzerland's oldest Roman road to the Great St. Bernard.

From the prototype of an organ built in 246 BC in Alexandria (reconstructed in life size) to the large Tschanun concert organ with 2700 pipes (1934), and including :

• Several instruments from different periods, including a 6-metre high case built in 1778 by S. Scherrer,
• the Elysée organ, the Emmental organ, the cardboard organ, the barrel organs, the open organ, the flute clocks, the harmoniums up to the great organ of Radio Lausanne
• Various equipment for acoustic experiments for the general public

The museum is also full of other objects of interest to both laymen and specialists.
