La Villa du Chêne

This art, which seeks to emancipate itself from the neoclassical period and its rigid codes by integrating new materials such as steel or glass with older ones such as wood or stone, had a flourishing period between 1895 and 1910 before giving way to Art Deco with its more geometric forms. The villa lived through a good part of the 20th century by converting its premises into different flats, before undergoing a renovation in the early 2000s that brought it back to life.
