Above Leysin, situated at an altitude of 2048 m. on the Berneuse, the major asset of Lake Yaka is its breathtaking view. The mountain ranges pass before your eyes from the Diablerets Glacier to the Dents-du-Midi, and you can't help but look down on Lake Geneva below.
Lake Yaka is easily accessible by cable car. It is of course accessible on foot if you are motivated to walk from the village to the top of the Berneuse. For your picnic, the edge of Lake Yaka is a beautiful place, before why not have a coffee or dessert on the terrace of the revolving restaurant Kuklos, a few meters away.
You will find a 15-minute educational trail on renewable energy around the lake.
