Geocaching in the Vaud Alps

Nine treasure caches are hidden in the area of Bex, Massongex, Ollon and Villars for the discovery of the formation of the relief in an illustrated way while taking up elements from the project "Geotopes of the Chablais", launched by the tourist office of Bex in 2014.

To go hunting, download the official geocaching application or c:geo and create an account.

When you open the app, the caches near your location will appear. Our caches are called 'On the tracks of the Rhone glacier'.

The GPS on your phone will take you to the location of the cache, and then you will go in search of the 'treasure', i.e. a small box, a fake rock, a fake spider in which the log book is hidden; a small note to sign. You may also find a gadget, a souvenir depending on the inspiration of the previous geocacher.

The caches are scattered over the commune of Bex (5), Ollon (2) and one in Villars. In Bex, they are on the hills of Montet, Chiètres, towards the aerodrome, towards the Mûriers and towards the glacial cauldron.
