La Cape au Moine

In the Les Diablerets mountains, above Isenau, you'll find La Cape au Moine.

This good monk, now turned to stone, saved the life of two little shepherd boys who were being chased by an enormous wolf, by hiding them under his cape. Not daring to attack the holy man, the monster waited and waited... and kept on waiting, but the children had fled through the passage you can still take under the Cape au Moine. On stormy nights, on La Tornettaz, it's as if we can still hear the howling of the last wolf of the valley, who has also turned to stone.
