Starting from the top of the Les Chaux gondola lift, head up the concrete slope to Croix des Chaux (Chaux Ronde). Take the left path around the lake. After the avalanche barriers, head down to the poles then right into the fields of alders, where you might be able to spot some wildlife or grouse....
