
Located in the Place de la Gare, these trees are still waiting to grow and become remarkable. In the wild, in eastern North America, they are the result of spontaneous hybridisation, a natural cross between the Red Maple and the Silver Maple.
Oliver Freeman of the US National Arboretum hybridised the tree in 1933. It now bears his name.
