Located in the sub-gare district of Paris, this representative of the Middle East was introduced to England in the 17th century. It is certainly from there that the seed that gave birth to the tree in front of you originated.
Do we owe the presence of this tree to any golfers? The Montreux Golf Club, next door, dates back to 1900. It is currently located to the west of the Route d'Evian, but its original position was to the east of this road. We can therefore assume that the various majestic Cedars and Sequoias in this area are remnants of the first golf course.
