Overview
Unique as well as original, the bobsleigh track at Leysin’s sports centre makes for an ideal and completely different team challenge. Installed by Olympic bobsleigh medallist Silvio Giobellina, everybody can now take it in turns to discover the thrills of setting off on a bobsleigh run.
In Leysin, metal rails have replaced the ice but the push-off and the excitement remain the same. A team of 4 must show coordination and great strength to get the bob moving and to make it slide. All in all the bobsleigh really is a sport apart.
You don’t have to have the physique of an Olympic champion however. Anybody can give the bobsleigh a go whether it’s groups of friends, workmates or even children. It’s definitely a special activity and one which will leave lasting memories.
