A must-see stop on your hike through the Hongrin valley! From the Les Coques mountain pasture, take in the panoramic view of Lac de l'Hongrin and the surrounding peaks.
Accompanied by the cows, the farmers spend the summer months in this mountain pasture chalet, making over 200 precious wheels of L'Etivaz PDO cheese. If you're an early riser, you might even be able to watch the hot milk being turned into a wheel of alpine cheese! Around the chalet, you can meet their animals, who love the grass and fresh mountain air. They're always keen to be petted.
Looking for a gourmet break during your hike? The mountain pasture also offers a small menu of delicious dishes and regional products to take away. It's the perfect way to build up your strength for the rest of your walk, or to take home a piece of cheese for your next aperitif with friends.
