Route Information
Description
Departure from the top of the gondola. Passage through the village of Aï, the refreshment bar of Mayen and the restaurant of Les Fers, then descend to the village of Leysin, taking the famous goat path.
Arrived at the top of the Berneuse, take the opportunity to discover the magnificent view that awaits you as well as the panoramic revolving restaurant "Kuklos". Start the slightly steep descent to Lake Ai, with an impressive view of the Aï Tower. The path continues towards Lake Mayen and passes by the charming village of Aï. Allow about 30 minutes from the top of the Berneuse to Mayen, where a short break at the refuge is welcome. From the Mayen refuge, an adventurous route with a difficult passage through a climbing site. A game with chain, caution is required. Descent via Les Fers restaurant, where a stop will be well deserved, followed by a descent via Brion towards Leysin.
